Welcome to Haptique. We respect your privacy and are committed to protecting your personal data. This privacy policy explains how we handle your information when you use our app.

Haptique is designed with privacy in mind. We believe you should be able to enjoy our fidget toys without compromising your personal information.

Information We Collect

Information Stored Locally

Haptique stores the following information locally on your device:

  • Usage Statistics: Time spent fidgeting, interaction counts, and session data to show you your personal stats
  • Preferences: Your customization choices, favorite toys, and app settings
  • Progress Data: Achievements, streaks, and unlocked content
  • Local Analytics: Anonymous usage patterns stored locally to improve your experience (you can disable this in Settings)

This data never leaves your device and is not transmitted to our servers.

Health Data (Optional)

If you choose to enable HealthKit integration, Haptique can:

  • Read: Heart rate and heart rate variability data to show how fidgeting affects your stress levels
  • Write: Mindfulness minutes to track your relaxation sessions in the Health app

Health data is:

  • Only accessed with your explicit permission
  • Processed entirely on your device
  • Never transmitted to our servers or any third parties
  • Subject to Apple's HealthKit privacy protections

You can revoke HealthKit access at any time in Settings > Privacy > Health > Haptique.

Information We Do Not Collect

We do not collect, store, or transmit:

  • Personal identification information (name, email, address)
  • Location data
  • Contact information
  • Browsing history
  • Any data from other apps on your device

Device Storage and Backups

Haptique stores app preferences, progress, and session data locally on your device. If you use Apple device backup services, Apple may include local app data in your device backup according to your Apple account settings.

Haptique does not operate its own cloud account system and does not run a developer-controlled sync service for your personal app data.

Subscriptions and Purchases

All purchases are processed through Apple's App Store. We do not have access to your payment information. Apple handles all payment processing and provides us only with:

  • Confirmation of purchase (anonymous transaction ID)
  • Subscription status (active/expired)

Analytics

Haptique does not use any third-party analytics services. We do not transmit your behavior data, collect crash reports remotely, or monitor app usage on our servers.

Local Analytics

Haptique stores anonymous usage patterns locally on your device to:

  • Provide personalized fidget recommendations
  • Show you your usage statistics
  • Improve your experience over time

This data stays on your device and is never transmitted. You can disable local analytics and delete stored data in Settings > Privacy.

Apple Analytics

If you choose to share analytics with Apple (via your device settings), Apple may collect anonymized usage data. This is controlled by your device settings, not by Haptique.

Third-Party Services

Haptique does not integrate with any third-party services that collect user data. We do not use:

  • Advertising networks
  • Third-party analytics
  • Social media tracking
  • Data brokers or marketing services

Children's Privacy

Haptique is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect any personal information from children or adults. The app does not require account creation, does not connect to the internet for functionality, and does not display advertisements.

Data Retention

Since all data is stored locally on your device, you have complete control over it:

  • Delete app data: Uninstalling Haptique removes all associated data from your device
  • Reset statistics: Use the "Reset Stats" option in Settings to clear your usage data
  • Manage device backups: Apple device backups may include local app data depending on your Apple account settings. You can manage those backups in your device settings.

Your Rights

Since we don't collect personal data, traditional data rights (access, correction, deletion) are handled directly on your device. You have full control over all your Haptique data through the app and your device settings.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. We will notify you of any changes by posting the new privacy policy on this page and updating the "Last updated" date.

We encourage you to review this privacy policy periodically for any changes.
